Yes, absolutely. We’ll teach you how to do all the exercise and support you along the way. You’ll never feel like you’re working out alone when you’re in our studio. And if you don’t know something, just ask. We’re here to help you reach your goals.
What type of clients do you serve?
We only focus on what we’re good at. Our clients generally have goals of: Weight loss, Toning, General Fitness and Increasing Lean Muscle Mass.
I’m a bodybuilder. Can you help me get huge?
Sorry dude, no. That’s not what we do here.
What kind of workout would I be doing?
We do resistance training here; in other words, we lift weights or use some form of resistance to help build lean muscle. But we do it a way that promotes overall fitness, not just the growth of bodybuilder-like muscle.
Will lifting weights make me bulky?
No, not how do it here at Motiv. The way we lift wights at Motiv will make you leaner and stronger, not bulky.
Workouts and Scheduling
Our coaching sessions are about 45 minutes long, including a warm-up. We realize your schedule is busy so we want to make working out as efficient as it can be. We believe you can get a great workout in this amount of time. If you don’t believe us, we’ll be happy to show you.
How do I book my sessions?
The best way is by using our online scheduling system. Or you could email us or call us.
I travel a lot or my commitments change from week to week. Could your schedule accommodate me?
Yes, we hope so. With our online scheduling system, you are not locked into a particular time slot or a particular trainer. You can choose to schedule your sessions for any time slot we are open – so you can work around your schedule – not ours.
What are your hours? Are you closed in the afternoon?
We aren’t open all day: we are open weekdays in the mornings (5:15am to 10:30am) and evenings (5:00pm to 8:00pm). On Saturday, we are open from 7:30am to 11:15am. We are closed on Sunday.

Client Agreement and Sessions
How does it work with your sessions? Do the sessions last forever or do they expire?
Because we are focused on getting you results, we ask our clients to make a commitment to working out with us. And since we can’t help you achieve meaningful results in just 10 sessions-let’s be honest, no one safely can – we ask for a 3, 6 or 12 month commitment to working out at least 2 or 3 times per week in our studio. Again, we only get results when you are consistently working out. So, we put an expiration date on the sessions you buy.
Here is our schedule of how long you have to use your sessions:

Can I suspend my account for a vacation?
Yes, for a $30 fee you can suspend your sessions on “vacation hold” if you are going out of town or have other conflicts that prevent you from working out for period of time longer than a week. You may suspend your account for a minimum of 8 days and a maximum of 1 month.
Suppose I sign up to come in 2 times per week. Am I limited to coming in 2 times per week?
No, you can come in 3 times per week — we’ll be ready for you. This is particularly handy if you have to go out of town or if work prevents you from getting in 2 times in a week — just “make up” that session in the next week by working out 3 times. And doing so will help you keep your results on track.
We do not recommend resistance training more than 3 times per week.
What if I only want to work out 1 time per week?
We’ll, first off, we do not guarantee results if you only come one time per week. We’re realists here. One time per week doesn’t get the job done. We are able to train some clients 1 time per week at certain times of the day: 8:15am, 9:00am and 9:45am. Sorry, we can’t do at any other times as we have too much demand for those sessions from folks who are working out 2 and 3 times per week and making meaningful changes to their bodies.
Specials
Yes, at our 3355 N Clark Street Studio we have a “Late Morning Special” if you only want to workout at 8:15am, 9:00am and 9:45am. Let us know you’re interested in that special when you come in for your free test drive workout.
