So, getting married causes weight gain?  From a recent study discussed here:

After adjusting for other variables, the 10-year weight gain for an average 140-pound woman was 20 pounds if she had a baby and a partner, 15 if she had a partner but no baby, and only 11 pounds if she was childless with no partner.

10 foods that are healthier than you think

More good stuff from the folks at HealthyEats.com, a list of foods that are healthier than you think.

Some examples:

2. Spaghetti and Meatballs
Thanks to the iron and protein from the beef, lycopene from the tomato sauce and energy-producing carbs from the pasta, this dish a healthy trifecta. If you stick to modest portions and lean beef, you can enjoy its benefits without overdoing it. Limit yourself to three ounces of meat and a cup of cooked pasta per serving.

4. Peanut Butter
I always hear “peanut butter is fattening!” Sure, it contains fat, but 30% of your daily calories should come from healthy fats, so why not add peanut butter in as an option? The nutty spread is also a great way to get protein, fiber and vitamin E. The same goes for whole peanuts or nuts such as almonds and walnuts — they’re a great way to get your daily dose of healthy fats.

where's the beef?

Everyone loves a good hamburger. But we all no the best hamburgers are pretty high in calories…

Other options?  Tara Parker-Pope writes about some non-beef options in the NYT here.

Here are a couple examples:

Mushroom Burgers With Almonds and Spinach: Almonds and bulgur give these vegetarian patties a wonderful texture and taste.

Turkey and Vegetable Burgers: I’m always trying to improve upon my turkey burger, which to me is the most challenging because turkey burgers can be so dry and dull. Here, vegetables keep it moist.
